Freezer Inventory

Privacy Policy

Updated 7 October 2026.

You can use Freezer Inventory without registration or family synchronization. Inventory, settings, full-resolution photos and voice notes are stored in your browser. Clearing browser data can remove them; keep a local export of important information.

Optional family synchronization

If you create or join a family, the app uses Google Firebase Authentication and Realtime Database. Firebase creates an anonymous device identity; signing in to your Google account is not required and the app does not access your Google Drive, Gmail or contacts. Firebase refreshes the device session automatically. The identity and refresh credential are stored privately in your browser, excluded from inventory exports and never sent to the application web server.

The family database stores product records, quantities, batches, drawers, categories, tags, edit history, reduced photo previews and voice notes. Full-resolution photo originals remain on their original device. Family data is stored in the Firebase project Freezer Inventory, with Realtime Database in Belgium (europe-west1). Google processes service information according to its privacy policy.

Invitations and access

The family owner creates separate invitation codes for viewing or editing. Each code contains a private, unguessable invitation key. Anyone receiving that code can join with its permissions, so share the code only with intended family members. Database security rules enforce permissions. The owner can revoke issued invitations, which also blocks devices that joined through those invitations. Owner access is tied to this browser's anonymous identity; preserve it and a local export. An invitation restores member access, not ownership.

Disconnection and previous Google documents

Disconnection keeps your local inventory and does not delete the remote family. A confirmed local reset clears local data and Firebase credentials; it does not delete remote records. Revocation prevents future access but cannot remove copies already downloaded by members. Google Sheets documents created by previous versions remain in your Google account and are no longer used for family synchronization. You can manage or delete those documents directly in Google and revoke legacy OAuth permissions there.

Device permissions and service data

Camera and microphone access require your action and browser consent. There is no advertising, sale of personal information or application analytics. Standard web-server access logs may record technical connection information, such as IP address and requested URL. New invitations are plain codes without a domain. Legacy invitation links remain supported; their secrets use URL fragments, which browsers do not send in HTTP requests to the application server. Firebase communicates directly with your browser when family synchronization is enabled.

Your choices

You can export and restore local data, disconnect from a family, revoke invitations as owner, or perform a confirmed local reset. For support, contact the person who provided this application.
